About Queen Bee Designs

Queen Bee Designs is ruled by a very lovely Queen indeed – Allison Priebe Brooks.
Allison was born and raised in Northern Virginia and currently lives with her wonderful
husband Michael and daughter McClain just outside of Old Town in Alexandria, Virginia.

After earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in Journalism
with a minor in Political Science, Allison decided to try her hand in politics by working in the
United States Senate.    After nearly three years working for United States Senator,
Max Cleland, she knew her hands would be happier doing something else.

Allison has always had a flair for fashion – especially jewelry, but she could not
find the bold pieces she was looking for anywhere.   She enrolled in studio art classes
at the Smithsonian and learned to make her own pieces.   To Allison's surprise, people
wanted to buy her  jewelry right off of her neck!  Allison obliged and decided it was time
to turn her passion and hobby into a business.

Queen Bee Designs has turned into a very successful business – and the BUZZ is really
getting around and so are Allison’s fabulous pieces - worn by top news anchors, celebs, Miss America,
& even Lynne Cheney! We have been featured on Good Morning America, in the Washington Post,
Washingtonian Magazine, Lucky, and Women's Wear Daily.
